Makayla Caro
Makayla was born and raised in Star Valley, Wyoming, and is excited to be back home after college, with her husband. She has been dancing for 10 years and has trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, ballroom, and tumbling. During high school, she was a member of the Brave Cadette Dance Team at Star Valley High School for four years, winning state all four years and earning All-State Dancer honors in 2021. She continued pursuing her love of dance at Brigham Young University. While attending, she competed in ballroom and minored in dance.
Outside the studio, Makayla enjoys spending time on her parents’ farm with the animals, horseback riding, exploring the outdoors, and baking.
For Makayla, dance is about so much more than learning choreography. It’s a way to express yourself, try new things, release stress, and connect with who you are. As an instructor, she hopes to create an encouraging environment where dancers can build confidence, discover what they love, and grow both as dancers and as individuals. She believes in the importance of hard work and strong technique, but also in remembering to have fun, enjoying the process, and celebrating the progress along the way. She looks forward to helping each dancer find their confidence, discover their passion, and create lasting memories through dance.
